There'll probably be a few 99s in the default rosters anyway; Megatron, Manning, Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, and Watt come to mind.

If I'm not mistaken, the last time a defensive player was on the cover it was Ray Lewis in 2005...

The slogan that year was "Fear the D" and it was the best representation of the defensive side of the ball that this franchise has seen since...

IF this means the marketing guys are going to let the devs focus on defense (esp. DB interaction), than I'm ALL for it...

He isn't even the top rated CB, IMO.

I'd take Patrick Peterson or Joe Haden over Sherman in a heartbeat.

Hopefully in the next couple days I won't need to worry about any Madden ratings.

Patrick Peterson isnt near that top cornerback category. Look at PFF's ratings on defensive backs, its pretty insightful. Shows are underrated some guys like Brent Grimes are and how guys like Patrick Peterson are overrated. They have Darrelle Revis as their top rated CB which makes sense. I dont have a problem with Sherman being a 99. But hes not the best DB on his team. Earl Thomas is the best player on the Seattle Seahawks.
