Did you tweet the "NFL on CBS Halftime Recap Broncos Patriots" to Larry and Brian Murray, because the "NFL on CBS Halftime Recap Broncos Patriots" is definitely not want we want. It is a "recap," not a halftime show at all. Plus, it doesn't show anything in broadcast view, and there is practically no point of reference at all with respect to the field and where the players are on the field. It doesn't show the beginning and end of the plays.

I would really appreciate it if you would tweet the three youtube videos to both Larry and especially Brian Murray because it is Brian Murray who laid out the current Madden Halftime show, I think. I would do it myself, but I have no clue how twitter works.

Thanks appreciative.

EDIT: I mean if they want to include that "NFL on CBS Halftime Recap" immediately after the broadcast version halftime show, then that's fine. But we definitely need the primary halftime show to be in full broadcast view. We need to point of reference with respect to the field and where the players are, and we need to see how the play developed from beginning to end.

Same thing happened with 2k11. Most all the sim guys loved it upon release but the casuals complained loud and clear and 2k put out a patch that catered to the casual. I pray they stand their ground like 2k should have! People need to learn to adjust not ea adjusting to the complaints of something they got right this time...

Well today Brian Murray favorited a tweet and followed me, so I then told him about my passion for presentation and about Deuce Douglas' work on here, I sent him some of Deuce Douglas' links on here for presentation ideas and for draft presentation specifically. Hopefully that stuff will get taken seriously and DD will maybe get some recognition like I feel he deserves after all these years of his ideas being overlooked. The devs are listening and together with them we can work to make a better game. We have their attention guys we just have to understand that and use it to our advantage. Tell them what you want to see not how little you want them around. That doesn't do any good and they'll stop listening to you if you're doing that. They WANT criticism but it must be done right and respectfully. If the game isn't there yet, don't buy it until you feel like it is.
Gotta respect that. Good job, jp. As someone big on presentation, I hope they really continue to improve it over the next few years, rather than build it up for 15 and then tear it down for 16. They were on the right track with Madden 12, and boasted about having realistic cameras in all 32 stadiums in all their true to life positions. Then, Madden 13 came and it was gone.

They sort of did the same thing when it came to hyping up those pregame intros for all 32 teams... Now they have shortened the pregame entirely.

So from a consistency standpoint, I have no clue what their philosophy is. But if they really do build on the presentation, which has made an enormous leap in one year, then they've got something special going forward.

No I didn't say that, and I'm using that YouTube video to show you as a point of reference what I think they were wanting it to be like for year one. They're probably already working on the halftime show for the future and at this point the halftime show in Madden 15 can only be tweaked in terms of performance not overhauled. We have to be realistic and understand that if they adopt these ideas, they will be for next year or later, the game this year will go final in about a month.

Here Rex gives some insight on their plan for halftime

OS: The Show Time pre-game and halftime show sounds interesting. Will the show cover other games in progress, showing highlights from those games as well or will it only discuss the game you are playing?

RD: For the first year of the new pre-game and halftime shows, it is about the game you are playing, but we’re definitely looking at ways to expand it in the future. The halftime show is a huge breakthrough for the Madden NFL franchise and something we’re very excited to give to fans.

It won't happen under Cam and Rex's watch and what happened with another game doesn't really matter. Cam and Rex are going where there going and have the leadership above them backing them. They won't be patching it, they would have to scrap the new audible system too.

Re: Official Madden 15 E3 Video Thread

Watching Shop's video now.
  • Glad to see that the coin toss in the menu gives you a choice of taking wind versus giving. Still a little concerned about how OT will be handled. Also wonder whether or not taking wind could be chosen as a first choice.
  • Visually, love the intros. The swipe where it shows the digital stadium and then it transforms into the game is sweet. Absolutely love it.
  • Wish they would use the team portraits for the players rather than the ones with the white jersey's. Russell Wilson's was blurry and didn't look good as opposed to Kaepernick's. Would much rather see them use the team shots. I get if they change teams and what not but I just think that looks way better.
  • The initial showcase also makes me hope they have more realistic portraits for draft picks. I don't want them to showcase my QB a bunch and having him look like an offensive lineman. Or even worse have it be a white guy's portrait when my QB is black.
  • Intro commentary still seems to leave a lot to be desired. It's an early build but I really hope we get some news on the commentary when the CFM news rolls out.
  • One thing that's really bugged me has been when Nantz says "So that means [player] will be back for the kick". So what means? Say something like "Well, the Seahawks won the toss but chose to defer. So that means LaMichael James will be back for the kick".
  • Seems like the CPU still has a really tough time getting the ball to the endzone on kickoffs. Opening kick only went to about the seven. Really hope their is CPU special teams sliders to correct that.
  • Still wish the play-call screen was horizontal. Not a big deal, just think it would be better visually.
  • Love offensive camera views. All of them.
  • Good to see the CPU be able to somewhat contain the outside run. Would still like to see more movement on blocks while they're engaged.
  • Don't see myself ever using the player lock feature.
  • Coverage on the Crabtree incompletion wasn't great but better. The TE still seemed to be open on one of those plays where LS passing would just victimize the coverage.
  • Didn't really like the coverage on the Vernon Davis incompletion. The TE corner was a huge problem in man-to-man last year and there was just a ton of space between him and the defender. Like that Davis made an attempt to catch it but hoping most incompletions are closer than that.
  • Wish they would get rid of the suggestion on fourth down plays. In certain cases, it will tip you that the CPU is faking a punt.
  • I'll be interested to try the kicking. Still doesn't seem that hard.
  • On the Wilson run would have liked to seem him scramble and look down field more than just tuck and run.
  • Little alarmed on the Harvin catch. Baldwin came in motion and was running a shallow cross and the guy covering him stood for a second after the snap before reacting and then ran into his own guy going to cover him. Ultimately it left Baldwin with like a 10-15 yard gap between him and the defender. Even before the corner ran into his teammate there was still way too large of gap in coverage. Saw a similar thing happen on the TE as well. Hope this isn't a constant issue.
  • Love the post play fidgets. Only issues I have is when guys face the wrong way and point a first down in the wrong direction and like on the incompletion where Bennett from the Hawks did the dribble-dribble-jumpshot. I'd leave that to like sacks and more general celebrations for knockdowns, breakups, etc.
  • Tackling is meh. It works fine and looks good sometimes but visually it looks bad. Need more gang tackles and consistent wrap ups.
  • Quarter breaks look good to me. I'll be interested to see how the commercials play into that.

Overall, I liked what I saw. Still want to see more, on All-Madden especially, but I definitely like some things and can see myself getting a lot of the game at this point.

Re: Official Madden 15 E3 Video Thread

Does anyone have any idea how the community data is collected. For example it shows a play and says its 67% of the time with an average of 8.2 yards a play. Are these stats updated every time a play is called and does it take into consideration what level you are playing. Yards per play are vastly different going from rookie to all madden.

I believe Rex said at least on Xbox one it's updated once a week but they are hoping to have it updated in real time through the cloud.
