According to Rex that's not true anymore. He's been quoted several times saying Madden is a simulation going forward, not an arcade game. So honestly anything realistic should only be the influence, if what he said is to be believed.

The fact that they've catered to casual gamers all these years is ridiculous in the first place, to all of us hardcore sports gamers. I am glad i skipped on [most of] the years in the last-gen. Madden hasn't been good since like Madden '05, IMO...

they catered to the casual since day 1 25yrs ago madden has never been a (sim) game its always been arcade.....casual pay the bills.....nba2k is catering to the casual as well as mlb the show.....its money....

While that does sound interesting... I wonder if it's the kind of thing that would make you invest exponentially more time on "practice mode" if we have to increase XP by individual player.

I'd imagine it would be made like MLB The Show where you can choose to assign what skill you want a player to work on and then simulate it.

Got to say this looks good. Tho it looks like it is been played on pro level. Because the guy is moving the 49ers down the field with ease. I really wish I could see some game play human vs AI on All Pro level. But overall the game looks pretty good. But need to play the demo before deciding to buy. Been burnt the last few years now. done with buying Madden and sale it a few weeks later.
