Re: Teddy Bridgewater using Madden 25 to learn playbook

If this were true, and it's not, I cannot imagine how much of a train wreck the Vikings season will be next year. No way in hell the playbook is on Madden and honestly I don't think the NFL would even allow the full playbooks on Madden. If it was done properly teams could use it to study teams and honestly that just takes away the nostalgia of studying the playbook and strategizing for an opponent the way they do it now. Plus why in the hell would coaches, players, and staff trust the EA team to do a good job with this kind of stuff. They can't even do the little things right that don't take any football knowledge at all. This is just some sort of product placement and money making plan for Teddy and EA. Think of all the little kids who will actually believe this.

Yeah, it is silly. A number of things in Madden, playbooks being one of those things, do not translate well at all, if AT ALL period, into real life professional football.

When an athlete says they use any game for anything all that means is they play videogames. Teddy "using Madden to learn the playbook" is the same thing as me "using Madden to play CFM mode."

Theres no possible way this is true. There are so many more things an NFL QB has to learn.

Not sure how many more running plays Madden needs. Teams typically only have a handful of running plays in their PB. Unless you are referring to options and other ungentlemanly trickery.

But my main thing is that we need to see a return of create a play. It was removed because of limitations to the AI right? Well according to EA their AI is now uber good. That is what they say.

This is obviously not true...but it raises an excellent point. The kids who were playing madden, nfl2k, ect football games that were realistic enough to read and react to a video game are now coming of age. The older ps1 and games prior to that may not have equated to the real thing "in the brain". What he said about taking reps in a video game helping him may be a viable point.

Same as the army using fps for training.

In all fairness, rock band is just simon says and has nothing to do with real instruments. The football and fps are quite like their real life counterparts.

Just saying...

Rocksmith, then. Or the singing component. Either way.
