Does anyone know if the player lock feature is only exclusive to the defensive side of the balk or will you be able to player lock on the offensive side as well?

Defensive only...I already asked and it's defensive only which is crazy to me..why do it half way

Pretty sure if you play CFM as an offensive player, you'll be locked onto that player.

As to arbitrarily locking onto any player at any time on offense during, say, a play now game, I defer to people with more knowledge on the matter.

Yes.

You first, switch to defensive camera. Then decide if you want to player lock or not.

Yes you can switch players during defensive cam but not defensive cam player lock

Because if they didn't do at least the D (Something a group of us have asked for, for years) we'd see..

Trust me a USER DEFINED camera has been on the books far longer than Man Lock camera. And considering they already have the tech for Man Lock in Madden I don't understand why they reimplemented one side of the ball...Remember the lead block feature? That was a Man Lock camera on offense.
