Does anybody really give a crap about how pretty Madden looks in ultra-close-up shots like these? How about some graphical comparisons from a standard gameplay camera angle? I really don't care how pretty it looks in cut scenes and zoomed-in instant replay. How about we all agree that Madden looks fine, and next year we focus on gameplay and bug fixing instead of putting more lipstick on the pig?

There need to be more added and the penalties already in the game need to be fixed to work. Clipping needs to be changed to block in the back. I have never heard a ref refer to that infraction as "clipping" . Bring the ability to hit a player after the play back into the game. This used to be in. I think it would be a neat thing to have into the game, especially online, because you could tell when the other player is losing his cool, just like in real life.

I mean the sliders not working, is a huge setback for the game. If they sat down, and said "hey let's do nothing else, but concentrate on what is broken, they would not only receive great respect from the community, but I guarantee they would get back some of the subscriber base they have lost over the years.

EA should listen to the community, and act like they care. It seems like every year they are doing something new with the graphics, It's like putting a 10,000 dollar saddle on a 10 dollar horse. I mean why. NFL 2K5, in my opinion, had sub-par graphics to Madden, but look what it was able to accomplish.

I've begun to wonder if the programmers at EA, don't really have a clue how to fix what is broken "under the hood" of this game. It seems like the only real improvements they have been successful at making are the cosmetic things. My opinion, and this is only my opinion, is that these guys concentrate on graphics, because it is the only thing they can really fix. Everyone, knows that Next Gen Madden is a port, because it has the same legacy issues as the previous gen. Fixing these problems, would require dismantling lines and lines of code compounded over the years. I really think these guys either don't know how to fix Madden in its current state, or just don't have the time to fix the major problems with this title.

Which leaves me to think: If EA truly wanted a great next gen title, why did they stick with Tiburon?
I think the coding and programmers have us all by the balls. Including the gameplay designers and creative people. I've been asking clint and Dustin (equip guru) questions on twitter and get odd answers.

A bunch of people have asked Dustin questions about accessories and stuff.. in particular the arm sleeve.. and he responds alot of the time with 'I am trying to get it in.. we will see'.

What does that mean? Do the gameplay designers KNOW what would make this game better? but the programmers and coders just can't deliver? Why is it so difficult to add an arm sleeve for player customization? It makes no sense. Little things like getting uniform colors right.. and proper accessories seem to take tons of work. I just don't get it

You mean like those ridiculously old beat up looking cars with those expensive big o' tires and shiney hub caps?

Or EA could just replicate any existing NFL game footage. Queue up live gameday footage and queue up Madden. Does Madden look real or video gamey? If video gamey, do it again until it looks real.

First play from scrimmage, replicate it. Second play fron scrimmage, replicate it. Fifteenth play from scrimmage, replicate it. Replicate exactly what each player does on the field. Replicate assignments. Replicate their pre and post play demeanor, their explosiveness, their aggression, their footwork, their body language. Replicate reality and complainers shouldn't have much to complain about, unless they're just going to complain to complain about something.

EA has all the gameplay, presentation, player movements blueprint they need right at their disposal--NFL films.

Re: Goodgamebro Madden 25 vs Madden 15: The Difference A Year Makes

Honestly, based on the videos, I've seen, I think EA is moving a little closer to where they need to be in the presentation aspect. My question though, given the pattern over the years, is will this neat presentation be in the game 2 years from now. So aside from the broken aspects of the game that have been in there for multiple years, EA also seems to have this habit of adding these great new things to the game one year, and then removing them the next.

I came back to Madden in in 2012, and I thought they almost had it right. I had so much fun with that game. Then, they dismantled everything, introduced the travesty which was 13, and introduced the horrid CFM. 2 years already we have not had the ability to watch CPU vs CPU games in CFM. This is depressing, because I used that feature all of the time in 2012. When are they going to give us that feature back? It added extreme replay value to the game.

EA should understand that they are not the "rockstar" in the gaming world, they think they are. They sell their football game year after year, simply because they have a choke-hold on the football gaming license. Eventually, and I say eventually (because I have been saying that for years), graphics won't be enough.

EA really needs to quit telling gamers what should be in these football games, and instead implement some of these things the gamers want.

I mean "Great EA!! Now the players and the fields look sooo lifelike" How about you give it a rest and fix the broken features of this game.

I asked that very question last year to Rex Dickson, Creative Director, in a Q & A with Clint Oldenburg. He said those days are gone when we bring out something new one year and forget it about the next year.

So, take it for what it's worth.

But ... the question that I don't believe have been addressed is how long does Rex, Cam, and Clint or any simulation heads stay on the team? Will a new 3 year plan be rebooted if there are personnel changes to any major players? Are we actually looking at a 3 year plan or 30 year plan?

Rex always talks about a 3-5 year plan and going beyond that, so take that fwiw too. Last year he said he wants to get their animations to a 90 quality, so keep that in mind when you look at the animations in the next few years, including M15.
