Throw Accuracy Question

Why when upgrading your players stats is there short,med,deep accuracy and then one throw accuracy as well? I have always seen sac,mac,dac then tac in the depth chart but I always assumed it was a average of the 3. But it's actually an attribute? Seems very counterintuitive to me.

throw accuracy is for simulated stats i believe.
