The way it's currently done in Madden is an all or nothing proposition, players are either injured/out or healthy/playing, if injuries were more varied, it would be much better.
I wouldn't mind seeing the injury system from FIFA, I personally like that system.

Can't troll a troll.

BTW, dig your avatar (which is not long for this world).

You reference a game from 6 years ago but completely ignore a recent game which had this feature: NCAA. At any point during any game you could pause the game and perform mass subs. There was never any bizarre behavior it just worked as advertised. It would be simple to incorporate as the programming code is very similar between the two games, also the majority of the NCAA team is now working on various aspects of Madden.
Big difference between Madden and EA's NCAA games -- in NCAAxx the roster limit is 70, which provides enough players for a full 3rd string. Yeah, they could spend a lot of man-hours making a 3rd and even 4th string work at the beginning of the preseason when 90 players are available, but it would require some serious trouble-shooting to make sure depth chart weirdness didn't pop up when you've got 4 "strings' but only 53 (including specialists) to cover all the requirements of having players 4-deep at all positions for all multifarious positions.

I really don't care what you or others want, or don't want, in the game. I just find it tedious when people complain about every little thing without even thinking why something might not be included in Madden.

I compare this to playing single player mode in madden and you are fighting for first string so you go through practice gathering points trying to impress the coach

This could be done at a smaller scale for team CCM.

(Hopefully I am not mixing it up with NCAA)

I get your general point but it seems a little bit like trying to have it both ways. Meaning when some ask about Madden changing legacy issues, it often claimed that it's hard to remove things that have been there for so long, yet then when some ask about bringing back things they have removed, it often gets claimed it's not that easy because so much has changed, lol.

I'm being a bit cheeky and I understand that it's possible for both to be true about different elements but my point is that neither of these is a blanket excuse for things some want added or added back not happening. Some things Tiburon just chooses not to add for no other reason then they don't want to/see the value of, regardless of how simple and cost effective they are. Case in point an option to hide ratings, which Tiburon admitted they could add in essentially an instant but choose not to.

Save on NFL Pre-season Live. Follow link. Pre-season games are great for people who love position match ups and player development. I cannot wait to watch Mettenberger Saturday night.

The problem is, if you download opening day rosters and use them in your franchise then the cuts are already made and makes preseason games even more worthless, unless you like to use preseason games to learn the game.

I like to use preseason games to make the CFM my own virtual league. I like to make the cuts for myself and usually I'll control a few random NFL team's and make a surprise veteran cut. I don't use EA's rosters though I like to edit everything myself and make it so the entire league isn't superstars. But that's just me.
