Why can't madden bring back franchise?

I still have nightmares about the new feature unveil - or lack thereof - for franchise mode in Madden NFL 11, and the general stagnancy of the mode from M06 to M09 on 360/PS3, lol.

Those games mentioned pretty much were just a roster update and a fresh coat of paint.

This reminds me of when CFM was first introduced in the game under the moniker of "Connected Careers" and people were confusingly screaming "how could they take out franchise mode!!1!"

So EA changed the name to connected franchise mode.
Seems like some confusion still lingers though

I don't see as many comments on here but I do still see them all around the internet. Seems like EA needs to market it better that CFM is Franchise Mode. There still seems to be a disconnect somewhere.
