You could do that last year.

In NCAA the developers went 90% into putting college athletes in the game. All they did was have incorrect names. But they allowed the users to correct the names and share the updated rosters by using EA Share.

That first sentence is key. Were Madden to allow custom draft classes they would not be creating athletes, they would be allowing the user to create a player from scratch.

It is true that EA will be more cautious now after those suits, but that is not the reason custom draft classes are absent from the game. The truth is that it is absent from the game because it is/was not high on EA's priorities.
agreed if they were that gun shy about likenesses they wouldn't allow us to create a player before you start a franchise

This is true; however, there were small nuances that made it tough. For example; moving Oakland Raiders to Los Angeles (or anywhere) and keeping the uniforms would result in the endzone still reading "OAKLAND".

Hopefully that has been fixed.

From the livestream, I am almost 100% positive that they said the above has been fixed.

Re: Relocation cities

Okay, well why can't we choose the COLORS for a new relocation team? I get trying to avoid lawsuits controlling the LOGO and maybe even the uniform template, but WHY can't we have freedom to choose the colors? Someone quickly give me a reason that isn't logically thinner than a balding man's self-esteem.

I was thinking the same thing. logo and everything they can do. why cant we pick the colors and design the uni.. it has nothing to do with presentation,

I am just happy they replaced LA Dreams. When I heard that the first thing I think of is a new WNBA team not an NFL team.

I really hope the Portland River Hogs, Sacramento Condors and Oklahoma City Nighthawks have some good uniforms this year. Those are my three favorite team names in the game.
