Assisted Tackles in Madden 15?

Does anybody know whether assisted tackles are going to be fixed this year?

I don't know, but I can offer a guess based on what I have seen.

There will be a increase in the number of assisted tackles registered, but it will still not be fixed as in equaling reality.

The full fix will come when they add in/focus on gang tackles.

A lot of people point to the lack of gang tackle animations as the reason assisted tackles are not counted. However, I saw several instances where more than one person was in on the tackle and no assist was registered. I especially noticed this on qb sacks where two guys made the sack but 0.5 sacks were not awarded. Assisted tackles worked a few years ago but it is has been garbage ever since. I wouldn't hold my breath this year.


In EA's defense, tackles are not an official NFL statistic and our subjective in nature.

As a big fan of the MLB position, assisted tackles is crucial to me.

I've been ranting for the last couple of years about this not working correctly and I'll bet all my money that it won't work this year as well.

Not gonna lie when I first read your post I thought what does Major League Baseball have to do with this? Took a full minute for my brain to register middle linebacker haha.

In all seriousness I agree with you especially since I play a lot of 3-4 defense with multiple LB's always blitzing, it kills me to not see assisted tackles.
