another dumb NFL restriction. Brought up by their 'safety committee' no less. Didn't they say CTE wasn't an issue a few years ago? LOL


Makes no sense about the helmets... especially when Big Nike and Adidas colleges switch helmets every other game for their special unis.

Modern helmets barely need any break in time at all. Makes no sense

It boils down to this. Although the licenses allow the devs to make the game that represents the sport their trying to do, that's the operative word.. represents. It's still MLB's image, and NFL's image being used. And with any business, none wants their image tainted. So although EA or Sony San Diego have the authority to make a NFL or MLB game, The NFL and MLB have final say on what and what can't go into the game.

How does throw back helmets taint the NFL image? Did they due any research to find out if throwback helmets caused more concussions? I highly doubt it, really no way to justify this stupid rule, its just an arbitrary decision.

I dont know how. BUT, it is all about final say with NFL. Wether it matters or not, it's still their entity.

clearly shows other teams past helmets...inc some of Washington's past teams.....so....why THAT helmet isn't in the game is baffling as it's not consistent with EA reasoning


IF EA is using that NFL mandate as the reason....then ALL OTHER RETRO Helmets must come out.....UNLESS....WAshington Specifically has said..we will no longer wear THAT helmet
