Can my brother and I play on the same team in offline connected franchise?

or is "Play Now" the only option where we can play on the couch together?

We like to do a fantasy draft then play the games with our 1 single team. He runs and I pass. I know it was taken out a few years ago then patched in and was in the game last year.
