It's really hard for anyone to help without knowing the model number of your TV. By having that info you could Google around and find some settings to try; keeping in mind that everyone's setup varies and what works well for someone else may not necessarily be good for you and your room.

For input lag on a Samsung television, pick the HDMI 2 slot and name it PC. Don't know if you will feel a difference in Madden, but it works in pc games.
Play in game mode which is going to cut down on your video options, but then just do what everyone is saying in here by turning down color and contrast.

The first part wasn't what you were really looking for, but thought I would mention it.
