You don't have the deal with possible issues of not having enough funds to sign players. I've never heard of an NFL team not having enough money to cover the salary cap and bonuses so this aspect of CFM doesn't make sense to me.

But when you are the coach they use the teams actually salary cap money.

Wait so if I'm understanding this correctly, if you're a coach then you get to use your salary cap money to sign players and FA's, but if you're an owner then you only get to use the funds that are available to you and NOT the salary cap money?

If that's true, then it's another thing that is broken.

Yeah, it's gotta be something that can be patched. The two should be seperate.

Well, thanks for the info guys. I guess I'm going to go restart my franchise as a coach. EA mentioned something about finding "sweet spot" pricing in Owner Mode, but I can't figure out whether that means setting your prices higher or lower than average. Until that gets figured out, coach it is.

I have a couple questions since I don't have the game yet.

As a coach can you still scout, draft and sign/release players?

As a coach can you be fired?

Aside from setting hot dog, parking, ticket etc prices are there any differences?

Yes

Yes

Yes u have to u owner funds to sign players bonuses. Upgrade stadium.. Worry about not making money and u will get fired if u go in the hole financially imo coach is much better then u only get fired for not meeting goals. Owner is way too difficult with a bad team this year.

Just beware that one of the bigger differences is that you can be fired so if you really want to do a long standing franchise as one team your better off as the owner.

If your okay with that possibility than for sure go with coach.

Your bonus money comes from your funds. If you want to sign a franchise QB and give him $20M bonus money you need $20M funds to give him that bonus.

That's the big issue with being an owner for me
