How in the world do you set formation subs on defense?

Ok, so I am the Falcons and they have a hybrid defense... I would like to put in certain guys into certain formations. The problem is you have like 5 seconds to pick a play. There is no way you can set up a formation's personnel that quick. How are you guys doing it?

I agree, there isn't really enough time to sub guys in from the play calling screen. I guess the only option right now is to pause the game and do it from the depth chart. I had no problem doing it from the play call screen in M25, as long as I was quick about it. Kind of a bummer that we still don't have formation subs outside of the game(again).

Playing online you have 10 seconds from when the offense picks their play, so early on in the game when I get a chance I do my formation subs with the R1 (RB on Xbox) and do them really quickly in between plays. I usually have to pick a play pretty quick for the one time I do it but once they're set you don't have to worry about it rest of the game.

Haven't played offline so if you get a shorter window to pick plays I apologize because one that sucks and two everything I wrote was worthless.

But you can't do formation subs from the depth chart right? Like say I want Osi to play DE on 4-3 sets and OLB on 3-4 sets.... how would I do that in the depth chart?

Wow, you are able to sub an entire formation and pick a play in that time? I can barely sub one guy in in that time.

Yeah I usually have to sub 1 guy, pick a play, then sub the 2nd guy I want and quickly pick a play.. Then I'm set. If you try to sub more than 1 player in 1 time there's no way you can page to a play you want.

It's sad formation subs which used to be in is still out and we've got these great power systems were all paying money for. Use the resources!
