It's not you, it's the game play. Pass coverage is terrible this year. It's as if the CPU shuts down one of your DB's to allow the WR to make the catch.

I don't like the D camera that much because I can't see outside of me even when I turn to cover a go, so you're essentially blind to anything outside of you.

What view do you play on?

press , then blitz the F out of people like that. I usually freaks them out and they will back pedal.

I've also had some problems defending the slants and honestly blitzes don't always work. You need man coverage with your MLB dropping back in zone in the center.

If you let the AI drop with the mlb he ignores the slants crossing right in front of him though.

I dunno, I drafted Sean Lee as my MLB in my fantasy cfm for this purpose. He's one of the most underrated MLB's in the game at defending the pass.

Re: Playing the pass?

Like others have said, your not going to 100% stop a play. Something is going to be open at certain times. I have had success running a 3-4 defense on 1st and 2nd down. If its third and long I play a dollar, or a dime. I try throwing the user off by maybe going dime, man to man, press, and putting a lineman in yellow zone in middle of the field to help with a slant. it doesnt always work but it makes the user think to throw it if someone is in middle of the field along with man coverage. Redzone scores are hard to come by this year. I just played a guy who had the saints in my league. He was leading the league in points and pass yards. Final score was 10-9 my redzone defense out of the 3-4 was solid.

if you want a quick answer....the best defense is to guess right. no adjustment, audible, certain defensive set will work alone. you have to blitz if you think its run. if you think its a pass pick cover 2 or cover 3. as you should know, no matter what D you pick it will have flaws. so a pass rush could hid your flaws in coverage. to me, if you get to the qb and make it rough for him you'll be fine. as far as stopping the run, just hope you guess right and blitz when you think its a run and you'll stop the run.
