Inexcusable.

Because it's a video game?

This was worthy of it's own thread?

Yes. Because to me, this sums up so many of the game play issues present in Madden through the last gen, and apparently carrying into this gen.

- Outcomes determined before they should be? Check (just watch the ball trajectory)
- Horrible clipping issues leading to absurd plays? Check
- Animations interfering with player control and realistic gameplay? Check
- Clueless defenders? Check (just watch the LB).

I know Operation Sports doesn't like too much criticism of Madden (keep it all in one thread so it can easily be ignored!), but despite all the fawning (and admittedly, this year is a bit better than last), there are still so many game ruining flaws.

Especially if that video game is "Madden."

The problem is, I can find an example of something similar in every single game of Madden I have played this year or last year or on the 360 or on the PS2.

Also, this kind of thing hurts a fundamental part of the game -- most "good" games at least get the core gameplay elements right.

Besides, the question is why is it still happening? Is it too difficult to fix? Is it laziness?

This is a game ruining flaw?

Not sure where the OS doesn't like Crticism stuff comes from, but most people like you seem to see it that way.

I guess, I am to the point in my life, where I don't sweat the small stuff any more, and just play games that I think are fun. If this is a game wrecker for you, I am sorry, hopefully they will improve stuff like this in the future. However I see issues like these in just about every game I've played, particularly ones with RTP.

The notion these types of issues are somehow madden exclusive, is a joke. No excuse for it, but to act like this problem only happens in Madden is disingenuous
