Only a few postings in the $40s but I'd say most people would rather accept a quick $45 final cash offer than try and haggle their way to $50 with someone shady.

I know you can buy in stores typically for $49.99 + tax so I figured I'd save myself $10 or so ha

I end up purchasing the game off Ebay NEW for $50.00US from a local seller who is 1.5hrs from where I reside in Canada.

I appreciate the info some shared re the strength of dollar and exchange rates.

The dollar has always fluctuated and sometimes the CDN dollar is worth more.

I may very well continue to buy from Ebay or used. I'm going to research prices from other game developers amd identify if this is a trend in Canada or if it is isolated to EA Sports titles.

It's purely an exchange rate thing, has happened before and is happening again now, and not just Madden. Retailers and suppliers likely aren't going to tick up prices for every penny difference, and raise/lower in larger increments ($5-10).

Should have done the Futureshop e3 deal. Preorder 3 or more and get them for $49.99. That's what I paid for this game and every game I get this year.

Keep an eye out for it next E3 and order all your games for the year
