New Franchise Players being Cut Automatically

Whenever I start a new connected franchise (offline), I generally sim the pre-season. For some reason, the computer keeps cutting players from my team.

Since you can't force trades sometimes I can't get the players back. Is there a way to stop the computer from automatically cutting my players?

its because you simulated the preseason, just dont simulate all the preseason, on the third preseason week on actions you have to cut players from 70 to 59 or something like that and in the last preseason week you need to cut from 59 to 53 and thats all...

Sim a week at a time and do your own cuts? I'm assuming that the roster starts with 70ish people like it has for last few years and you have to do your cuts. I haven't started my Franchise yet, though, so maybe its different now.

Yeah, sim the games but manage the roster cuts yourself. Takes a little bit longer but it will protect your team.

Also, if you value developing your players under the new system with XP and confidence playing the pre season games is actually worth it now.
