How do you stop the the bootleg crossing routes?

Been getting killed by this online, players will boot leg with a running Qb and hit receivers on a crossing route across the middle or the full back in the flat, I find this very hard to stop. The offensive line seems to block excellent on bootlegs making it hard to get pressure especially against good team. Any tips on how to stop these type plays.

Thanks

Dont know if it will work, but mush rush, corner blitz where you think the QB will rollout to, and watch the middle of the field yourself.

Do you mean actual boot legs or do you mean play-action passes where the player just decides to run to the right?

Referring to actual boot legs to the weak side:

As someone who uses this concept about 3 times per game with Colin Kaepernick, here is how you stop it or at least slow it: blitz hard on the side the roll out is moving to.

When that happens the opponent has one of three options: take a sack, stop and throw before the routes have developed and the QB has set his feet (risky), throw the ball away (a slow process since you have to click so it may not work). Obviously you have to guess the play based on formation.

Zone is great against it, but then you're susceptible to the run.

How about zone blitz on 3rd downs or when you suspect it.

Send the heat from bootleg side and pass commit.
