Blocking on kick returns

Is there any way to fix the blocking on kickoff returns? I would say about 50% of the time, the blockers don't actually come back to protect the returner, but instead just kinda meet the kicking team halfway. This ends up letting a few guys through and leaving the returner with no blockers anywhere near him.

I wish we could actually assign who is on the special teams. In a game yesterday, my backup QB was on the kickoff team and kick return team... how does this happen???

And what you said is true too... when will EA ever address Special Teams??? Punts that bounce 30... 35... I even had one for the CPU hit at my 41 and bounced all the way into and through the end zone... 41 yards??? Wow!

Re: Blocking on kick returns

Good because for real 75% of the kick returns needs to be going to the back of the endzone

Re: Blocking on kick returns

Only call middle KO returns. Calling returns to either side sees the blockers all move forwards to block when the ball is kicked. This delays some defenders but they're running free by the time they get to the returner. Calling a middle return has them retreat and then block, so your returner is closer to the blocks.

I normaly only call middle returns on both kickoffs and punts and I don't notice a difference if I call middle or right or left.
