Too Many Short Passes? Think again.

Only about 10% of NFL throws are beyond 20 yards.

Huh.

Doesn't change the CFM funds bug, though.

Very true. Like or not this version of Madden is as close as they've got to realistic presentation of the NFL on the field. I have no problem getting decent sim stats regardless of what level I'm playing on.

People get upset because they expect every game to play out to the NFL average, and they build sliders and adjust the game to achieve that, which in turn makes the game boring and predictable. If you just play things tend to balance out.

It's not that there are too many short passes. It's that there is too much CPU accuracy, not enough throwaways, and not enough legitimate defensed passes (rather than all of them just being the receiver gets hit and drops the ball; I'm talking about the defender reaching around the receiver and batting it down, or diving to bat it down, etc etc).

What do you have your DPI set at? At 100 I don't see it all the time but I do see the interaction you're talking about.

Typically the only problem I am seeing is not nearly enough throwaways. Everything else is fine.

I would say most of the issues come down to theAI QB holding on to the ball. They don't like attempting difficult passes so they hold the ball and take sacks. If this is fixed you would see more passes into coverage which lead to more inaccuracy, more defensed passes, and a overall lower completion percentage
