How do you leave an Online CFM?

On PS4 I have 3 or 4 various online CFMs. I set one to public and many new people have joined and I am just not into the GM mode right now. So I handed the commission off to someone but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to leave. I can create a new person...but not leave. I checked on my other Online CFMs I referenced earlier and same deal...

What am I missing.

When you go to select one of your CFMs (on the screen that shows your online and offline CFMs to choose from), you can press triangle I believe to leave quit that CFM.

Oh...so not actually in the mode itself...Ha...just like 2K...this is the thing they copy...the impractical idea 2K sports does with managing files.

You can retire inside the CFM. I can't recall what section it is under but if you go to the far right it is an option

I'm doing a single player online CC because offline hasn't gotten any of the fixes.

All I want to do is start as an owner of Buffalo, start a new stadium build to ensure they don't relocate, then retire as owner and become coach.

I can't find any way to retire my user. It says I have to transfer commissioner duties to someone else to retire? Am I missing something? Isn't that the main selling point of CC -- that you can retire your user at anytime and jump into a different role?

I don't want to start a new thread so I'll ask my question here. Sorry if it has already been addressed but I was booted from and online CFM and joined a new one but I'm still getting notifications from the old CFM. Is there a way to stop them? I see nothing about specific CFMs in the settings of the notifications.

You have to choose to create a new character I believe.
