Re: Does anybody feel this way?

15 is the first Madden I actually bought after renting for a weekend since '12.

For me, running multiple characters in CFM helps keep me immersed; instead of being focused on one team and one phase of team building I can go back and forth across different ones. For example, year 1 (a lot of games get simmed): John Fox leading the Broncos for redemption feels different than rebuilding a new, young Vikings team for the future as a created owner, feels different from Mark Davis dumping salary to prepare for a move back to LA.

I also actually like the XP and Scouting mechanics. XP actually gives the user a semblance of control in how a given player progresses and in what areas. Scouting (and random draft classes) make drafting rookies more fun as it adds a layer of mystery previously missing from the series.

It's mostly filled with negativity and can affect your own judgement with the game.

Does anybody else feel this way? If not how in the hell are you guys enjoying the game. give me exactly what it is you do for fun.

I haven't enjoyed a madden game sences madden 07 on GameCube yet I have bought the game most years hoping it would be good has I want a football game to beable to play. Ever year though something in the game makes the game unplayable to the point where after like 2 months I give up on the game and fell like I have waste money on it. I skip last year and told my self I wouldn't ever buy another madden if I couldn't rent the game first and with no blockbuster around any more there isn't really any way to rent game now.

I have yet to see a redbox that has ps4, xboxone games. They only have ps3, xbox360 and wii u games. I end up deciding to buy the game has I wanted to play the game with it being on a new system to see how it is being on a new system. For the first time in a long time I fell like the game the game would be pretty good if they could just fix one thing that is QB sacks. Ever year something that wasn't a problem ends up being a new problem and that is why madden hasn't been good in a long time.

The game plays the best it has in a long time but I have gotten to the point where I don't know how much longer I can play because of the sacks. To many times drives that should be touchdowns end in FG because of the sacks or drives that should be FG end with a punt because of the sacks witch makes the game to easy to win. Its not fun to get 8-9 sacks a game like I am getting and its not that I am getting to much pressure it is that like 75% of the sacks are because the CPU wont either thorw the ball away or try to run with it.

If I where to put PB up to much higher for the CPU they would have all day to pass witch means they would probly have to many yards passing and to high of a completion % agest me. So frustration because this game is so close to playing a really good game of football but the sacks are just about a game killer and I have just about tried ever thing talk about on hear to lower sacks. I have tried int ground at low numbers and high number and I noticed no difference at all.

The 2 things I have yet to try are full on the visual settings on d and RP at 80 with int grounding at 5 but I don't think it will make a difference caunsidering that I saw no difference with int grounding at 0 but a lot of people are so sure that having that at 0 means less sacks. The only way I think we wont see crazy sack numbers is if EA patches that but I don't think that is going to happen and even if it dose it will probly be another like month 2 months before we see it but really will probly have to weight for madden 16 for the sacks to be fixed and then something else will probly just break. Looks like another year of not really enjoying football video games. Maybe by like madden 2030 we will have a madden game that is fun and that doesn't have a game killing problem with the game.

Or how close the game is after the first snap or how my offense can't run the ball after my second or third run play. I can go on and on... Its hard to want to play madden over and over because it doesn't offer a lot when it comes to franchise mode.
Yeah, same here. I tried my hardest and tonight put a real sports game back in. (show). Tomorrow, I bring madden back. I never trade games in but to even look at it on my shelf with good games does not seem deserving for it. Too look at the game box will only remind me of how stupid I was to spen 60.00 on another year of hype and lies.

No this year I am enjoying the CFM more than any year. Find a good set of sliders and don't worry about the game being perfect and you can have a good experience.

Re: Does anybody feel this way?

what happened to the so-called types of players randomly generated accurately. you ever seen a kicker look like this? this was the last straw. six of the seven players I drafted had dreadlocks including the kicker. immersion is officially dead and I am trading this in towards Grand Theft Auto for ps4 friday.

Re: Does anybody feel this way?

two biggest issues in franchise mode are
1. injury. since injury can occur to 4-5 key players in any week, performance gap between starters and backups should be reduced
once my starting qb or rb is down my hope for superbowl is gone..unfair

2. there are still overpowered positions
too many good players are in one position while there are too 90ish overall in other position

Re: Does anybody feel this way?

For me Madden has largely been a sterile and soulless game for some time now.
Part of that is on EA, fixing one thing breaking two more, and seeming to care less (take away from) about offline franchise modes most years, and part of it is simply that our expectations have risen so high with sports games, and with football it's the most difficult, if not impossible, to accurately simulate.

I've just started my franchise as well and decided to use one of the more popular slider sets. A few games have been great, a few have been full of frustrating and wonky things...so I'm not sure how this will go for me.
I'd like to avoid continuously starting over and trying new slider sets.

*Edit- For those saying you enjoy it and/or find a good set of sliders, it would be appreciated if you can share which you are using. Thx.
