This really is disappointing. I won't return Madden because I still enjoy playing online H2H, but CCM has always been my favorite.

There was an NBA 2K game that had this issue a few years ago. I think it was NBA 2k12. The OS community put out a roster that toned down potential of every player. I wonder if something like that could be put in the works here. I would participate.
Well, I dunno about after the first year, I'll have to test it out, but you DEFINITELY have to manually re-sign players in the first year, or else all the 2011 guys like Green and Miller become FAs and sign with other teams, which would NEVER happen.

If you're going to make blanket statements about what would NEVER happen, then you should be doing 32 team control anyway.

The Broncos are going to have serious cap issues this year, and it's totally possible that Miller slips away.

The core FA logic might be a little messed up, but you can't pick certain players that make it to FA and say that that's why it's wrong. If there are a lot of 90+ guys that go unsigned into the regular season, I have an issue with that, but if you aren't happy with the teams that players end up with, then just do it yourself.

I did a 32 team control league for a 7 year franchise in Madden 12, and I had a blast. It lets you be very imaginative in the offseason as to picking which teams are going to get certain players. It takes a while, but I'd recommend it.

Am I the only one here that likes that there are lots of high powered players??

Every year I get my sliders set where it is competitive, etc. but at some point I always become too good and it just gets way too easy to win Superbowls. I've realized in the past it always comes down to there are just not enough other good players on CPU teams. I even went so far last year as to import custom classes in an attempt to have better players enter the league.

This to me sounds like a good thing.. no more winning easy superbowls in future CFM years. If you want to win that Superbowl you're going to have to take down a team with an elite QB and an elite MLB, or a team with several elite WRs.

And that's not even considering that two 99 OVR players at the same position could behave in-game like two completely different players. For example, one 99 MLB could have amazing strength, block shedding, etc. making him huge against you in the run game. Another MLB could have off the charts coverage skills and speed/acc, throwing off your passing game.

I have only played 1 season with end of the year progression and I don't see much progression at all.

LOTS of sub 80 OVR starting QBs. Does it take a while for this to appear?

Why do so many Madden players only focus on overall when it really doesn't matter that much? Telling us what a player's overall is doesn't tell us anything about the player.

I took my 82 overall FS last night and gave him +2 to tackling, he went up to a 85 overall. If I jacked up his play rec and awareness I could easily get him to 90-95 without ever upgrading a stat that really matters. Yeah, he might be the highest rated safety, but that doesn't matter if he can't cover or tackle.

I have issues with progression just as much as the next guy. I'm just saying, telling us every players overall is never going to solve the problem. It only takes 10 minutes to make a video showing which stats are too high. All the twitch stuff is built in, use it people.
