Formation Subs

Is their any way to sub in specific players into formations without going into the depth chart. I could do it in PS2 days but cant see where to do it this gen...

I am the patriots and they keep running Edelman and Amendola in outside deep routes, which they rarely do. I want to put them in the slot in three and four wide formations like we used to be able to do. Is this possible anymore???

Only during the play call, hit RB to sub guys in. It's annoying, but it works. Wish we had the old formation subs you could save for every game.

U mean the formation subs from the last LAST generation that for some reason is never a thought in madden?

There is a reason. So that they can add it in later and say it's new to sell more.
