I've found that making cuts with your LEFT stick is not only quicker, but more effective. You don't lose your speed, and it won't get you a 4-yard loss.

I've tried running more out of spread formations, but they don't have all of the plays I want in pistol spread.

I wish we could make our own plays...

I'd have the following in pistol spread:

1. Levels
2. Flood
3. Texas
4. Drive
5. Slant/Curl-Flat
6. Smash
7. Inside Zone
8. Outside Zone/HB Stretch
9. HB Counter
10. 01 Trap
11. Wham

Re: Tips on running the ball?

Any tips on running a power scheme? I feel like angles make things so much easier for the OL. Why reach block and have a high chance of getting beat by an agile d-lineman when I can pull my backside G and get easy down blocks?
