I took a break from Madden for a while once 2K came out, and now I'm back playing again. Since that time, EA put out a tuning update, and I got to say: I'm disappointed with it big time. It completely ruined the offense/defense balance. Once again, the offense is overpowering! While I will readily admit that my defensive game in Madden is certainly not as good as my offensive game (my D gives up an average of 20 PPG online), they ruined playing online for me. Zones are not as effective anymore, the pass rush has been made virtually non-effective unless you have an elite d-line man, and man coverage works somewhat but can be easily exploited with slants. Is this just me?
