Running Game Revolution needed

Hi Guys

I would argue that the most used buttons in the running game is Spin and Juke but they are simply outdated and look nothing like the real thing.

I think the majority of RBs when 1 on 1 with a tackler does is a fake out/ stutter step and cut to another direction.
In madden to change direction quickly most players use the spin.

Madden needs to tighten the tackling further to really give power to the user to make left/right cuts.

I think that the spin doesnt work like real life when it is used to get out of a tackling attempt

Juke is too slow and not used properly especially behind the line to cut into holes as they open.

Stiff Arm is a luck of the draw, they should work on making them more skilful so that if done properly you know what will happen.

What are your thoughts on the running game?
I really feel like you have little control outside of direction control

Re: Running Game Revolution needed

I know they improved the juking last year, haven't really tried this year but last year if you moved the right joystick the opposite direction of the juke and then the correct direction fast it would stutter step.

I mostly use power backs so I rarely juke, hasn't crossed my mind this year. What I wish was that power backs would actually break a tackle every so often, and that straight arming an opponent would be effective and not cause your back to fumble.

I think the biggest problem with the running game is the attrocius blocking by the oline and the FB. FBs constantly run right passed LBs.

Re: Running Game Revolution needed

The run game is horrible in this game, first off backs strides are too long, their needs to be way more short choppy steps, and we should not need to hold a stupid juke modifier button to trigger cutting and foot planting, just moving or slamming the left stick in any direction alone should trigger cuts and choppy steps. And youre right the spin move is so fake looking, the games controls have been the same since Madden 2001, no innovation, just sad.

I agree with everyone with this..but to get very good foot planting and movement I believe they need to remove some of the HUM control..ie triggering jukes and cuts..but that's me..in my eyes I shouldn't be able to cut with a back cause of stick control and make the RB look like LeSean McCoy

Re: Running Game Revolution needed

I havent even talked about the Precision modifiers, they are useless 80% of the time.
Firstly player must have 90+ rating to activate them
Secondly they are made for one on one open field which is so rare
Lastly they all slow the runner so even if it is successful
, it ensures a tackle by someone else.

Just like QB avoidance its a good idea but its needs to be rewarding which neither are, the reward of success in both of these 'skill' buttons dont outweight the risk of any extra yards that could be gained running away or a last second throw (QB avoidance doesnt ensure you avoid the sack)

I would do like Fight Night 3 first did.

Create some great RS combos that in this instance would shift your weight/cut leg and then you can cut the desired direction. Kind of like NHL RS
