What Does Madden Do Well???

There hasn't been much info released on 16, yet it seems like some negativity has been expressed on the board whether it be the screenshots, CFM news, The Trailer, ect.

I just personally wanted to take this time to find out what people think that Madden does, well, or excels at. So what does Madden do well already in your opinion? What makes Madden a good or great game to you?

Head to head play. When I don't take the game seriously and I just do a few play now games with my boys, we have a blast playing this game.

Basically, it's a great pick up and play game to drink and kick back and play with your friends

I have been disappointed with madden since the exclusive deal. What it used to do well before that was represent the NFL. The movement on the field felt realistic, the chess match that football is was present there was a punch and counter punch to everything. Franchise mode in the PS2 era did a great job recreating the drama of the NFL. Position battles, hold outs, radio show, news papers, etc. The player mode where you would pick you parents and have skills based on their genes/professions was an innovative idea, fighting for playing time, getting new places to live when you got bigger contracts, movies/commercials, hell they even let you take their version of the wonderlic.

All in all what madden used to do well to me was just be immersive and engaging, as of now I feel like franchise mode is 16 play now games strung together with a draft after the Super Bowl. I really just want EA to recapture the fire they had back then.

I do like some of the elements of presentation, I do like some of the running game, I do like the improved zone defense, I do like the defensive camera, I do like some aspects of the improved pass rush.

I'm made a ton of friends online due to Madden so it brings people together well.

As far as the game itself..
I'd say it does a lot well BUT pretty much everything could use some love.
I know this is a positive thread and we need that so I won't go into the details.

In the end it plays a great game of Madden Football, which is what it's intended to do.

It needs some love to make it an more than that.
Lastly it will never be a total NFL/Football experience we all want and not just because of EA but because of the NFL themselves.
It's not all on EA.

I don't know about skyboxer but I know that the game used to have tattoos and holdouts. They will also never have suspensions and stuff of that nature.

Fines, off field issues, disgruntled players... stuff coaches/teams have to deal with.
Things that games like OOTP Baseball have.
