To show WR/DBs and to maybe show the ball tracking.

But a number of those screenshots weren't WR/DB shots...

The question is especially geared towards what we've seen graphically in terms of lighting, player models/equipment, face scans, etc... I strongly believe that what we've been seeing with these latest screens is exactly what we'll be seeing in our consoles in two months.
Just wanted to say when they added the physics engine in madden 25(can't remember what year it was) they didn't show it at all in any videos until e3. Could they do the same with the things you mentioned? Yes, do I think they will? I doubt it.

Re: New Madden NFL 16 Screenshot - Sam Shields vs. Megatron

it was madden 13 and yeah, like SS said, they didn't actually have any of the physics engine stuff in any of the early videos and then they "turned it on" as soon as the feature was announced.

so it's not inconceivable that they would hold back on showing these things until they're announced. like the presentation, i'd be surprised if the score bug e.t.c was kept identical to last year. it's just part of a feature they haven't announced yet.

You both make a lot of sense there. Hopefully that's what they're doing, I'm not confident in that, but I have to hope because what they've shown just doesn't do it for me on that front.

I'm not confident in anything being that different either. I understand holding back on the video until E3 because you want E3 to be the big blowout of your new features but it doesn't make a lot of sense to release screenshots of things like old equipment if that's something you're going to want to tout on a grander stage. Why release a screenshot with the old 2004-era equipment when you can create a decent amount of buzz by slapping one new pair of gloves or cleats on a guy if that's something you're touting? Doesn't make sense.

As for the other things though it's hard to say. Lighting and other stuff could easily be hidden in screenshots but strictly from a graphics standpoint I doubt there will be a huge leap in anything otherwise. What we've seen is pretty much always been what we've got.
