Yeah it's a big difference, I don't think you could really see that much of a difference until E3 and later's screenshots. The latest ones to come out are what I have been waiting for everyone to see, and the closest to seeing what I saw in person. The latest screenshots are also from the most recent build according to the GC's last night on Sim Standard Radio.
Skin tone on Bell is much improved in 16, here's a real life comparison, still need the equipment, but they're definitely getting there.

Re: Madden 15 vs madden 16 graphics
Honestly aside from nba live which still needs alot of work I think that most sports games have hit their graphic peak for next gen. I don't expect much improvement graphic wise the next 3 years. I just want to see them smooth out the engine overall. By that I mean like making it less sloppy, adding more game modes, more accessories etc... I don't know if it's Just me but I did not mind the graphics of madden 15. I thought they were pretty good. I would rather them stop focusing so much on improving graphics but improving other aspects of madden

Re: Madden 15 vs madden 16 graphics
I agree,
the improvements used to massive but but as graphics have improved over the years they understandably are not as impressive year on end. I think EA needs to stop selling the Photo realistic elements. Lighting, shading etc is important but in game i dont think I could differentiate from last year to this year. They are good enough. They should put as many of their resources as possible into the animations and AI of the onfield and offseason aspects of the gameComment

Re: Madden 15 vs madden 16 graphics
I pretty much disagree with everyone so far. In the pictures that weren't labeled I could tell which ones were which.
While I don't think Madden had terrible graphics I don't think they are up to snuff. And part of it is they still look kind of cartoonish. All of EA sports games have that look to them. Besides maybe NHL.
I certainly don't think graphics have hit their peaks. I understand that it's harder to make big jumps. Obviously.
I think this is what madden should have looked like on the 360 abd PS3. They honestly haven't done much to the players models. Just added better textures and updated the faces.
If you zoom in on a player and look at him from the side. Look at his pads. They're still as flat as they were on 360/ps3 they just have that pad texture now to make it look like there is definition there.
All I'm saying is look at gta v on last gen. It's still beautiful.
I'm not bashing madden because the graphics are not bad. And at times are nice to look at. But imo they could be so much more.Comment

Re: Madden 15 vs madden 16 graphics
Besides the lighting and colors, I can't tell much difference in the graphics. Though I still think the graphics will improve throughout this console gen, they can certainly improve in all areas. I may be alone on this, but if the crowd models can be toned down or even become static (at least in the upper levels) for the sake of much better graphics on the field, I'd take that any day. It may be able to improve the sidelines as well, as the game desperately needs a more populated sideline.Comment

Re: Madden 15 vs madden 16 graphics
And to the improving point, I don't know how much the whole sharing tech through Ignite between games is actually used behind the scenes but from what I've seen from the NBA Live and NHL screenshots, they're doing some great stuff visually. NBA Live's colors and skin look great IMO. And then NHL with their arena stuff looks really nice even if a lot of it may only be cosmetic. Hopefully when they update equipment that will become a yearly update type thing as well.Comment

Re: Madden 15 vs madden 16 graphics
The level of graphical fidelity and detail in XBOX One Madden NFL 15 - heck, even Madden NFL 25 on XBOX One, which didn't really even look like a next-gen game - is so far beyond impossible on the XBOX 360 and PS3 hardware. Those systems had a mere 512 MB RAM and their respective computing power and graphics throughput pales in comparison to the new consoles.
I'm not even saying the new consoles are top-of-the-line hardware - they aren't. But seriously, these things run circles around their predecessors.
If this year's game is truly your expectation as to what last-gen Madden should have looked like, I regret to inform you that your expectation is way out of line with what those consoles could actually do.Comment
