Are there carry over saves in Madden?

Im a bit fuzzy on the sales loss myself. I want the new, better game each year, i just want to take my already in progress franchise, and import it into the new game, continue playing with out starting new.

Umm, in order for this function to work it would be dependent on the user buying the next version.

This is the major reason I can't get too much into franchise at all...I can't bear the thought of doing a huge amount in that mode and losing it all a short time later.

It genuinely makes me play Madden much less than I would if saves carried over.
