Question for "coach mode" users

Sometimes my qb does frustratingly stupid stuff. Takes a sack instead of throwing the ball away or to an open receiver.

Is there a way to improve the qb? Does maxing out awareness help?

Not really. That's just the way they play in Madden.

No...until EA programs the human QB in coach mode to make the same decisions as the cpu QB your QB will not scramble or run when pressured. EA has to change this logic.

Thanks, I realize he doesn't scramble but he also doesn't see open receivers or throw the ball away to avoid a sack as often as he should.

I guess improving awareness won't change that.

It might a tad but I think there is stuff under the hood going on that EA would have to tweak...and I only play coach mode.

That is what Dynamic Player Performance and player traits are supposed to address. They worked better in madden 12 because that is why they were introduced. Like almost every other feature in Madden, if it isn't new, it is pretty much ignored in the next development cycle.

Thanks for the replies. If coach mode is still just auto pass with no improvements I'll probably pass on Madden 16 and just continue my current franchise.

That is kind of what coach mode needs to be though. The game needs smarter QB and RB play though.

What more/less do you want from it?
