But this video highlights one of Madden's biggest flaws imo.

THE FIELD IS SIMPLY TOO SMALL IN RELATION TO THE PLAYERS!
Look at both interceptions, the user pick being the most glaring example... Dude is able to drop his coverage on the right side of the field (was a deep zone iirc) to go intercept a pass (a pass that was more "bullet" than "lofted") and he manages to undercut the pass and catch it.

In the Peterson play... He tips the ball (pretty cool animation) but all the other defenders are so close by that almost 3 or 4 other dudes could have intercepted the tipped ball.

Either players react too quick or the field is not scaled right. This has also been a glaring problem in previous editions when one tries to attack the deep gaps in cover 1, only to have the safety manning the middle fly in to make any deep pass an automatic pass into double coverage.

Also, I think the concerns about the tipped ball animation happening too often might be true, but that will only be proven with more gameplay.

That first interception he made was almost perfect. The only concern I have is that we might be seeing too many highlight plays, either it's the ball being punched way up into the air by the DB or an insane one handed catch. I'd like to see these interactions result in more routine outcomes. The game looks great and I can't wait.

I get what you mean, right now I'm being cautious about what I'm seeing because you never know what difficulty these guys are playing on. I'm gonna wait until I get my hands on the game to form a true opinion about it.

game hasn't been released and I'm already sick of that animation. its like the 3rd or 4th time I've seen it on one of these gameplay vids and each time the ball pops up into the air and it gets intercepted every time. seems like a really cheesy animation that happens way too often.
