No squib kick guys??

Was looking for squib kick for obvious reasons late in the game and did not see it. Maybe it was just my playbook???
Not sure why we need a page full of kickoff lefts or right though.

Doubt this can be patched too.

Not to the extreme of it being like the squib that was in the playbook. In my experience, even lowering the angle all the way, the ball sails for a short bit.

It's a tactic no longer used in the NFL anymore.
It's been replaced with kicking out of the of the back of the End Zone and having have to go 50+ yards for any type of score.

So I'm assuming they decided to no longer use in the game.

Heck no. Don't give them a hypothetical excuse like that. Just like defensive assignments not being in Madden again.
If a teams winning with 5 seconds left in the game and Devin Hester returning, a coach isn't going hope his kicker can kick it to the back of the end zone.

Not every place kicker can kick it that far, factors also include playing field conditions.

Uhh what? Squib kicks are used frequently.

I tried a low angle regular kickoff with zero power and my guy straight up shanked it OOB. I got lucky he knocked it far enough that it didn't immediately offer a FG try.

EA eliminating squib kicks from Madden playbooks is very disappointing. Squib kicks are still used in the NFL today and have been a Madden staple for years. I'd be willing to bet there are 4-5 squib kicks per week in the NFL and removing this feature does not make much sense. I'd love to hear EA's reasoning as to why this option was removed from this year's game.

I'm sure someone, somewhere figured out how to exploit it, but I agree, it makes no sense for the majority of players. It would be nice if it could be patched back it, but I would not hold my breath.

Exactly. They don't know how to implement it where it can't be used as a huge exploit. So they just remove it completely.

I know squibs were exploited online. Say you are expecting your opponent to kick an onsides kick, you come out in onside recover only to have him line up and squib kick it far enough where his guys get it before your guys can.

of course when something happens 'online they have to take it out. typical just shows they don't care about offline players we just get leftovers

Yea I had a couple of guys doing this in my CFM also last year, it was pretty cheesy I must say.
