Madden 17 Developer Interview Series

I got the green light for my series interviewing developers over the coming weeks leading up to the release of Madden17. Please leave feedback and let me know what other developers you'd like to hear from!

Could you ask him if the equipment will be updated regularly during the season. Also, will they be scanning equipment all year or if we will have to wait til M18. Thanks

T4Verts, thanks for doing this! Could you ask Equipment_Guru to explain the process (briefly and at a 10000-foot level, presumably) for getting a new asset into the game, say a new helmet or an alternate uniform? How much time, effort, and coordination is required behind the scenes to get that done for one new piece of content?

Can you please ask what is the biggest hurdle in "porting over" the equipment from the NCAA series, which was on point even by today's standards, even if it was a 3+ year old game. I reckon it is different coding, but as long as we're not talking about scanned elements, then there should be similarities in the code that'd make the process easier.

Not sure if this falls under equipment or CFM, but could you ask if there are at least thoughts of improving the uniform process for relocation?
