old gamer with mass problems

Hi all. Seems like when I play Madden16 my controller goes bonkers on audible calls. It sweeps thru the play calls and I cannot pick one. Now it's doing it frequently in regular play in all modes.
Also, if I call a audible,on defense. My CB's just turn around and run to the endzone. By the time I can get them back, the play as started and they're all out of position. In franchise... Draft and MUT play.

Anyone know what might be causing this? It's really ruining a awesome Madden release for us. On a stock XBOX ONE wireless controller. new batteries.

Try deleting the game and reinstalling it to see if that helps.

Odds are the controller is bad. Your stick is not centered and is out of "alignment". You can either try to clean it or get a new one. I had this happen with a PS3 controller and could not fix it so just bought a new one.

Yep! I just bought a new one and all is well. Wow these controllers go out way faster than xbox 360 controllers.

XBOX controllers in general don't last. I still have my first PS3 controller and it works perfect. I have never had to replace a PS controller.
