Combine Events (Results=Rating)

We now have the Combine Results to view for scouting Rookies.

And in case you did not know, those combine numbers will result in specific ratings.

Now the basic ones are easy.. (even if not quite realistic)

40 time = Speed Rating

Vert Jump= Jump Rating

3 Cone = Acceleration Rating

20 yd Shutt= Agility Rating

Bench Press= Strength Rating

Broad Jump = ? ? ?


I cant come up with what Broad Jump is for what Rating.

I have all the other ones scaled out already.
(and for those that thought they knew them from past NCAA experiences or even Madden.... they have changed !)


What do you think Broad Jump Is ?? ?? ??

Both the vertical and broad jump are used to measure the same things; Explosiveness and leg strength. In reality, BOTH should be used to determine how high or far a player can jump, since jumping can affect your vertical distance AND your horizontal distance (like diving forward toward a pylon in football).

Whether or not Madden actually represents this in the actual game is questionable.

Thanks for the replies... I do understand the real world values of the drills.

Like I do not agree with 3 cone being for acceleration, but it seems to be that way in Madden.

I just can not figure out what rating is used for the result of the Broad Jump.

When it gives you the little tutorial about the combine results it pops up and tells you what goes to what attribute. I would post the pic I took of it but it's on my phone. Here is what it shows
