Why do I have pay $50 to play Draft Champions!

I don't understand why I have to have a PS+ membership to play this mode. No other mode, including MUT, does not require this. I was able to try it using the free 2 day trail and I enjoyed the mode, but I can't justify the extra cost.

Did anybody see any info on why they did this?

Actually if u wanna play online ranked or online franchise u need to be a PS+ member as well.

So its just not only draft champions.

Are you selecting solo draft and not H2H?
That is my only assumption, unless it was overlooked by EA.

I wouldn't look at it as paying $50 to play that mode.. Ps plus offers way way way more perks.

It's known any online feature requires a subscription. It's not just an EA mode.

Funny thing is I just clicked on it because other day it told me I needed to be a PS+ member now all I get is a blue screen...???? Lol guess no option to even click on PS+ site lmfao. Samed goes for online ranked a blue screen.

Nope, it's Draft Champion itself. I tried entering it, and it said I needed a PSN plus account to access it.

Any online based mode requires a PS Plus account, in ALMOST any game. Draft champions, online H2H and online franchise require a plus membership.

I asked because once in DC, there is an option to play solo or H2H. But seems you can't even get there.

He has a valid point IMO. If MUT really is playable with out Plus, then I THINK champions should be too. In both modes you have the OPTION to play alone via solos or online against H2H.

I got PSN membership 39 dollars for a year ; Comes up that price 4-5 times a year

This isn't an EA policy, it's a Sony / Microsoft policy. Everyone knew this from day one. I'm sure it's available on PS3 for free.

I can't believe anyone has a ps4 without the ps+ tbh...it's like$4 a month and you could buy a PlayStation gift card if you dont have a credit card. Download one of the free games and it pays for the year on it's own.

You don't have to pay $50 you can go get a one month card at gamestop for $10 or 3 months for $20. It's really not that expensive and should be a must if you own a PS4. Unless of course you don't have the Internet.

I can confirm this aswell, you dont even get into the mode without PS Plus.

And no, PS Plus is not a must if you have internet, theres no reason why I should get it for example.
I only play sports games and I don't play them online because I like to have a realistic game not the online cheese so for what else should I get PS Plus?
For the monthly games I get? They are a joke, when PS Plus began you at least got full standalone games that were a year or two old. Now all you get is games from the PSN store that cost 10 bucks and I try out for 5 minutes before never ever touching it again because its crappy
