Wide Receiver AI Notes

I play no-switch when I'm on offense which means that I let the AI catch passes I throw. After playing 8 games in a franchise with Pittsburgh one re-occurring thing caught my eye - sometimes my wide receiver will run a route but then not attempt to catch the pass at all.

The interesting thing is this ONLY happened with Martavis Bryant. His awareness is low compared to the rest of my guys so I'm wondering if this might be a feature of low awareness rather than a game bug. If so, well done EA you made awareness actually matter in this game!

This happened 3 times with Bryant and I actually considered benching him because of it. It resulted in a few interceptions.

Awareness definitely effects when they look for the ball this year, it does matter. The higher the awareness, the sooner and later they'll look for the ball. Their icon will be semi-transparent when they aren't looking, and will become solid when they are looking, so test that out.

interesting i notice the transparency in icons but never knew what it ment
