I wanted some feedback on progressive light this this year is it better that madden 15 on next gen or is it the same. Also does quarter length affect it like years past?

It seems better to me, games starting at 6:30 are light out at the beginning and the sky is completely dark by the end.

Played the Super Bowl in my CFM (which starts at 6:17PM in Madden) and you could definitely tell the lighting changed. It went from some sun on the field in the evening to a dark sky with the field being illuminated by stadium lights.

Re: How is progressive lighting?

Does quarter length have an effect this year as in the past quarters length of 6 or more minutes would make it take effect.

Re: How is progressive lighting?

One thing i have noticed in 1pm games in BUF on 7-8 min quarters is that in the 4th quarter the shadows from the light poles are *not* shown on the field....they were in last years game with similar time/quarter lengths.......bug or omission?...not sure

The dynamic lighting is pretty lousy IMO. In Buffalo, for instance. No difference in shadows between a September 1pm kick and a December one. Also very few shadows even for a 4pm kickoff. In Buffalo a 4pm December kickoff would occur at almost sunset.

Agreed. The whole system of lighting needs work. 1pm clear & sunny games look dark and dull which doesn't make an ounce of sense, and I can't understand why even a supposedly clear skies game can still have nothing but clouds in the sky. What are they doing?

As for progressive lighting, I've found that in some stadiums it doesn't progress at all, and in others when it does it's out of whack. Basically, it's the same issue from last generation. It's broken. Along with weather, I'd love to see them get this corrected. I play a game like DriveClub and not only is the lighting progressive everywhere, but I can choose the exact time of day I want and each one has a different lighting effect based on that time. Heck, even weather is progressive in DC, and I'm not even asking for that, I just want more options at least, basic ones at that. In terms of options with weather and lighting, I feel like Madden is stuck in the 32-Bit era, and that era was of course a long time ago.
