Talking Manual bump is in, though not listed in controls

I didn't know this, so I thought I'd share just to be sure people didn't miss out. You can manually bump receivers by pressing RB (or R1 on PS4). Major find for me because people like to use the TE as a security blanket and this is a major weapon against it. This was taken out last year, but has thankfully returned. As we all know, Madden doesn't bump the TE, but YOU can. This was not listed in the game controls menu, so I feel like a lot of people will miss it. Hope this helps someone....

How do we bump the tight end? Doesn't seem to work for me.

Not sure its possible unless you put a safety or corner man aligned on the TE even then the bump doesnt always trigger.

Same way. You can also bump guys coming across middle during the play on drag routes if they are within 5 yards of the line. Really disruptive.

I've successfully chipped TEs using the R1 and RB method above, but the animation is really quick and not very useful for disrupting the most dangerous TE routes - the post and corner.

Best not to bother with that and instead play middle of the field coverage and shade the outside shoulder of the TE.

Just my thoughts.

Yes you have to line up over the TE and hit the button as he begins his route. You can also hot a route DE lined up on the TE to a hook zone, then use the DE to bump the TE if you're up against a TE with good RLS and worried that you're LB will lose coverage. It works great for me. Anything that causes the QB to hesitate/panic is nothing but a help to your D...

This technique combined with the purple zone (which you have to do manually because they all seem to have been removed) should calm the TE corner routes a bit...
