Buy or wait?

I have not played Madden since 13 and have been spending much of that time playing NBA 2K. I'm an old fart and played Madden since the beginning but got bored with it since playing NBA 2K. I'm on the PS4, is it worth getting or should I wait for more improvements?

Loaded question really. If dropping $60 means you won't eat, don't get it. If you have an itch for football, dive right in. I took a break for a few years when they quit having the PC version. Got back on board with a PS4....good times!

Just wait. There will be another patch that (hopefully) fixes everything that didnt get fixed in this one.

And, you probably will be able to buy the game cheaper than you could right now.

I returned my copy... the game play has improved but if you're a 'serious' player like myself who wants a simulation style CFM experience - don't buy, yet.

In the current state of the game franchise mode is just unplayable. I feel disrespected that this game cost 60$ with so many issues.

Anyways, I'm planning on repurchasing used at a lower price if some of these issues are actually addressed.

I bought the game but have not played it yet. I've started other games without crucial patches and have come to regret it so I'm in no big hurry. Seems like it's common to release unfinished games.

I wish I had waited. I pre-ordered the game and am still unable to start my CFM which is the only reason I buy the game every year. After two weeks now I have played a few hours of MUT(yawn) and Draft Champions.

I'm growing tired of waiting for all the fixes the game needs before I can even begin playing the mode I want.

edit: Bugs keeping me from playing include sim stats causing LT's to regress dramatically, robo QB from M15 returning, IR not working in pre-season and forcing cuts of players who should be on my team, players still not accepting contracts that far exceed what they are asking for, etc, etc..

worth it just to play some football. but CFM is so bad that it really hurts my experience as someone who has basically played more franchise mode in sports games than any other mode in every other game ever made combined.


it just stings. mostly because a lot of this is stuff we discussed BEFORE they made the change to a new console. we REALLY need them to ditch what I expect to be their plan(improving commentary as 17's selling point) and instead make it "Year of the Franchise Mode"
