Re: Game Prep: Are you using it?

Ehh. IMO it is so shallow that they shouldnt have wasted any time creating it. Not when 10 years ago I could set my team to focus on stopping the run , pass or a balanced gameplan. Or work on throwing more if I was going up against a stout run defense. And much more.

Here it is EXP.. Umm. Yay? It is pointless and an embarrassment to actual game prep.

I use it on younger players for a whole year. Question: Anyone know of any must have traits such as high Motor? I read saving for progression isn't worth it so I'm not doing that so I'm looking at traits right now that are must haves or trying to decide if I should just save them for attributes.

I hate there isn't drills for any position, so stupid. I do use some and I have bought the coach packages to double xp and to increase for certain positions. Right now I have had some good drafts and not enough hours to go around. I'm up to 70 a week now. I focus on rookies and second year guys. The others can get it from playing time.

Best thing to do in my experience is to pump all your XP via drills into your young guys 21-23 (no more) as it is cheaper whilst they are young and you will develop them quicker. If they have super star trait then it's even better as it will be cheaper to upgrade. I also use QB drills to upgrade the accuracy of my QB's as I try and use the default ones for the franchise I start with (currently the Texans) as it is more challenging that way. There are a couple of QB's (I won't name them) who if you use are virtually unstoppable. Playing with unpredictability and weaknesses makes the whole experience so much more stressful

I don't know if it has to do with confidence. When I started my franchise, before playing any games, some players had boosted attributes and increased overall.

It has to do with confidence. Even before you play any games, some players will have a confidence level above 60, which is about where the attribute increases start.

After fixing rookies flaws that are cheap to increase (such as low Carry for RBs, Play Regognition for LBs and DBs, Awareness QBs and just about everyone else, etc. -- weaknesses that can lead to turnovers, blown plays or big losses of yardage), I save up enough XP to move every rookies's Discipline trait up a notch. Like penalties when they're against the opponent; hate 'em when they're against me.

Re: Game Prep: Are you using it?

I typically go with this for the following but I'm unsure what to use for RB's, any suggestions?

CB: MCV & PRC

FS/SS: MCV/ZCV & PRC

LB: TKL & PRC

Oline: PBK & AWR

Dline: PMV & BKS

WR: RTE & CTH

What are you guys using to upgrade your RB's? I was considering either Elusiveness or Ball Carrier Vision but before I continue I wanted to see if anyone knew what the most important trait was. I'm using Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman so their speed is already at a legitimate rating.
