Simmed 1st preseason game, 5 players injured (EDIT - problem solved, user error)

I chose to start at the preseason with my Cowboys offense, so I could have more control over team transactions during the preseason. I simmed week 1 and checked my injury list

DT Chris Whaley, gone for the season
HB Ryan Williams, gone for the season
LOLB Ka'lial Glaud, gone for the season
CB Orlando Scandrick, gone for the season
RE Greg Hardy, Out 11 weeks

Granted, I didn't check players injuries at the start of the preseason, so I don't know if any were injured before the game. But is this typical of simmed games? Do I have to actually play meaningless preseason games so my depth chart doesn't resemble a hospital?

After last years madden I expected a slew of injuries, I was ready to turn the slider down but waited, and honestly I hardly see any injuries at all be it a game that's played or when I sim them. So few injuries I'm thinking of turning it up a bit, I'll go six or more games without any injuries at all.

On the latest roster update which released on Friday, all of those players but Greg Hardy are already on Injured Reserve for the Cowboys. They were not injured in the game you simulated.

Yep, like CM Hooe said, those guys are already injured. You must have had pre-existing injuries on.
