no switch guys: who do you control?

I mostly do pass rusher. Some times like maybe 10% of the time I will do a line backer just to mix things up some.

It depends which CFM i'm in but i usually player lock my lowest rated DB.
Yes i play as CB at times. I play as my weakest LB or Dline all in player lock. Just depend CFM I'm in two of my 3 squads have quality safety players so i just let cpu play. while i play as LB or DL. my last CFM I player lock as CB

I used to control one of the safeties, but then I realized that I was completely useless in coverage. So now I have to control one of the pass rushers (usually DE) to make sure my safeties don't give up huge playes every two minutes..

For those that like to defend man to man, I learned you can hold L1 or LB to have the game help you stick to your assignment. Especially useful if your man is in a bunch formation.

Just hold L1/LB to stay with your assignment. I usually do this at the snap for a few seconds then let go and manually guard him once I know the route.

Middle Linebacker all day. Sometimes in nickel I may shift to the WILL depending on the call and what I may want to take away. But I love playing linebacker. Gives me a nice mix of every part of playing defense.

I prefer controlling a D-lineman or a linebacker, and try to choose the best player on my team out of those positions.

The logic being that if I'm controlling him, I'm "raising his AWR" since he will act with User efficiency, and it only seems right then to control a high-AWR player so that I'm not artificially boosting a lower-rated player.

I created a SS and do all assignments as i have for every madden. i tried doing man to man but i think the sensitivity of the controller it just almost seems impossible lol. so i hit L1(ps4) to get help during the start of the route then i take over to gamble on the pick or play the receiver. Love the challenge of reading plays.

Really wish superstar worked better when your player isnt on the field(the simmed stats are just bad). anyways, i play just like that. i play the contract out and in hopes for a resigning of my player(i let cpu do all resigns), and if not i get released and play it out and see where i end up and play my way through the lifespan of my player.

I switch it up a lot. 1st and 2nd down I'll usually control the lowest rated LB. 3rd and long I'll play DE to rush or Safety to cover.

If I'm playing a run heavy team I'll play strong safety so I can walk him into the box.
