This could be a simple way for ea to fix this with a patch. We all know that is impossible to fix this entirely. But maybe making the confidence reset per season will make this confidence thing a no issue.

Beside I don't think qb are worried about the int they threw last year in week one. Right?

Confidence should def reset at beginning of each new season. You always hear teams talk about how the previous season has no bearing on the next season. For each team each new season has it's own identity.

Not lazy, a design choice. There is big difference.
