You saw the video I posted above, right? Here's another example, even worse than that one:



It's not that you could never get negative confidence even pre-patch, it's that the positives from over-boosted drive goals always canceled them out (and often completely overwhelmed them into a net positive). At the very least, it seems much more difficult to earn that much confidence solely from drive goals now. Although, it is not capped to +1 per game as we were hoping to believe.

No....by "worse" I mean I took even more negatives than in the last video. Many, many negative confidence hits in that video from playing a bad game.

It's very possible to have negatives if you have a bad game. I'm not going to say fixed or broken because at this point it's subjective - if you don't like the concept you'll think it's still broken, if you do like it (or don't care one way or another) it's a bit more tolerable now.

I like the feature, but yea the confidence boosts were absurd, so thats very good news; also hearing that you got many negatives is a good thing to read. My team shouldnt be oozing confidence after a blowout (consecutive blowouts and bad seasons which I've had)

I enjoy this game, I think there are a lot of positives; like every sports game it has its faults. They have a good base right now, lets just hope they dont go and muck it up next year. I feel this has been the best installment since '10

No. There's proof enough of that because you'll never see a drive goal +1 after simming your own game. It's fair to assume it's that way when the AI games are simmed as well.

Their confidence will fluctuate due to good/bad statistical performances and game prep, just as yours does. THAT part of the confidence equation is affected by everything - Human or CPU, played or sim.

Not sure about this. I started a brand new CFM thinking confidence was fixed but after simming one season, the Bengals had about 25 guys with 99 confidence.
